The ammonia tanks at Pivdenny port had 60,000t of am- monia in storage earlier this week, ahead of OCP’s Clipper Venus commencing loading. The vessel will load 40,000t of TogliattiAzot ammonia, and tank levels should be closer to 30,000t by tomorrow. Rossosh and OPZ are estimated to have around 20,000t of ammonia in storage at the 3 tanks currently operating at Pivdenny port – at least some of this volume appears to be unsold. DniproAzot was planning to deliver 3,000-4,000t to Pivdenny in May, assuming adequate tank space, and Ostchem is reported to be working on transport logistics to enable it to deliver some ammonia to the port next month. However, as global fob prices continue to fall, both Dnipro and Ostchem may decide to re-evaluate their export plans. The current rising storage levels at the port suggest that supply out of Pivdenny is starting to show some increasing length, and additional supply streams will only put further downward pressure on prices.
