摘要

Adiet consisting of vegetables, fruits, and fish may be beneficial for individuals at risk of age-related mac-ular degeneration (AMD), a new study has shown. Over a mean follow-up of 9.1 years, 754 individuals developed AMD. Intake of the recommended amounts of vegetables (>200 g/day), fruits (two times/day), and fish (2 times/week) were 30.6 percent, 54.9 percent, and 12.5 percent, respectively. Of note, the intake of fish (two times/ week) decreased the risk of incident AMD (hazard ratio [HR], 0.76).
