A government source has told Al Seyassah that"very senior officials"are tending towards the complete cancellation of the al-Zour refinery project in order to put an end to the dispute between the government and Parliament.The Kuwaiti newspaper,which described the officials in question as of"sovereign"rank,added that the project could be replaced by one entailing the upgrade and expansion of the Shuaiba and Mina al-Ahmadi refineries.
