In the last 10 years, more technological innovations in the Refrigeration Industry have developed than during the earlier 50 years period. These technological advancements provided solutions to main problems such as increase in cost of electrical power, the shortage of water supply and the need to guarantee each and every worker better and more safe working conditions.At present, the designer, the constructor and the end-user are often posed with hesitations on the following: Which refrigeration gas is best to be applied in the system? How can electrical consumption be reduced? What would be the most suitable design and appropriate machinery to be employed to achieve these goals? What would be the running cost of the system? In effect, these are the questions that should be first brought into consideration when planning to take up a refrigeration process, rather than "How much does it cost?" which unfortunately is the question most of the times being asked by a potential end-user.
