摘要

Plant viruses have been detected and identified from different environments including symptomatic and asymptomatic host plants. The meiagenomics-based studies are helpful in revealing the occurrence of novel or unsuspected virus isolates, progress ofhostadaptation during the process of host-range modification and investigating plant virus biodiversity in various environments. These studies can be helpful in detecting viruses and advancing our understanding of the processes whereby viruses arise fromtheir natural hosts to become threats to economically important agricultural production. This review is the compilation of various detection method and metagenomics approaches to understand the host-plant interactions their current and future prospectswhich will help in the design of long-term and sustainable disease management strategies.
