Global oil prices came under pressure from a strengthening dollar and increas- ing supply. Opec data revealed higher-than-expected production from the group, while a deal between Iran and global powers over Tehran’s nuclear programme opened the prospect of rising exports from the Mideast Gulf. US light sweet benchmark WTI fell by more than $2/bl to just over $50/bl.
