This paper focused on the application of composite technology to bonding of materials which are characterized by both magnetic properties and mechanical properties, such as the motor rotor core of hybrid cars, which are clean and economical. In general, techniques used for bonding include brazing, mechanical bonding, and so on. For the present development, it was decided to analyze diffusion bonding of sintered materials in consideration of global environmental conservation and energy-saving process. The application of diffusion bonding has made it possible to achieve both functionality and strength, to significantly improve productivity, and to reduce costs.
