PERTAMINA AND EXXONMOBIL have signed an accord to develop the Cepu block,located in north central Java,ending a protracted logjam.An agreement between the upstream oil and gas regulator BP Migas,FT Pertamina EP and ExxonMobil subsidiaries Mobil Cepu and Ampolex Cepu will enable exploitation in the block,estimated to be capable of producing oil at upwards of 170,000b/d.
