Bechtel Oil, Gas & Chemicals has been chosen by Chevron to perform preliminary FEED for the Wheatstone natural gas development at Ashburton North on the mainland of Western Australia. The FEED involves two LNG processing trains each with a capacity of about 4.3mtpa and a domestic gas plant. Initial gas supply will be from Chevron's 100% held Wheatstone Field and the Chevron-operated Iago Field. Chevron expects a final investment decision in 2011.
