Labtech Modular Engineering says it has constructed the world's first automated hydrogen sulphide (H2S) gas separation unit for the oil and gas industry at the company's Aberdeen base for M-I Swaco.The unit,to be deployed for Agip KCO on a man-made island in the Caspian Sea,allows for the safe removal of harmful hydrogen sulphide gas from well test fiowback fluids without having to flare it off.
