Petroleum Technology Company has developed a compact separation system,ComSep,aimed at answering the key issues associated with this technology-size,weight,modularisationi,and energy maintenance in the wellstream.Based on existing de-sander technology,ComSep uses a cyclonic system to 'spiral' the wellstream in to separate phases.
