One of the features of the recently held MeDIC III Conference was the Capital raising session where four Australian medical device companies presented to leading Australian and US venture capitalists (VC's). Whilst the principal reason for holding the session was to give presenting companies the visibility and exposure to facilitate further relationship with the VC's represented on the panel, there were other outcomes. The session audience was able to compare and contrast a range of business models,presentation styles and contents as well as getting the flavour of the sort of questions to expect from VC's during a fundraising exercise.
