If we have a highway between Towns A and B which is 30km in length and has the following landslide hazards:Rockfall from 40 engineered cuttingsDebris slides from 25 natural slopesPotential large scale (say 1 million m~3) fast moving landsliding from natural slopes on the highway at one locationPotential collapse of 5 fills supporting the road.Let us also assume the owner of this highway is also responsible for a further 2000km of highways in the state.
