It is not possible to cover all legal issues associated with advising, designing and constructing buildings and other structures on land that may be prone to landslide. This paper serves to alert those in local government, professional services and private land owners of their responsibilities when undertaking any works in such areas. Before commencing any works with significant risk, readers should obtain their own independent legal advice.
