Tasmanian work boat builder AquaTruck . has recently launched 'Numb Knots', the latest iteration of its series of pontoon work boats for the fishing and aquaculture industries.Measuring 8.8 metres in length overall on a three-metre beam and with a 0.57-metre draught, 'Numb Knots' is destined for salmon farming giant Tassal. Constructed of high-density polyethylene plastic (HDPE), the 3.2-tonne lightship vessel has been optimised to operate in the frequently harsh conditions of Tasmania's salmon farming sector. According to AquaTruck, this industry is one of the ultimate test sites for the company's vessels, with feedback from this region resulting in additional developments and refinements of what are already tough and rugged vessels.
