ZAK BROWN DESCRIBES what fueled him to become one of motorsports' best orchestrators of major sponsorship programs and even, perhaps, a potential successor to Formula One commercial king Bernie Ecclestone. "If I'm all in, I'm all in," he says. "If I'm not, I'm not interested." Brown, 40, was never interested in school, which explains the horrendous junior-high report cards framed in his Carmel, Ind., home. He skipped the equivalent of two months of school in a single year more than once growing up in Los Angeles, and that doesn't count expulsion for breaking another student's jaw in a cafeteria fight.
