University of Southampton is a national university founded in the United Kingdom. With a history going back to the 19th century, its faculty of Engineering and the Environment is rated on par with the likes of Cambridge and Oxford. The Institute of Sound and Vibration Research established there in 1963 is internationally known for its research related to sound. While diverse studies are being conducted there, various industrial products are being developed from the sounds of bubbles in particular.
