In August 2001 Toyota unveiled a personal transport assistance robot called Winglet. Is this compact-type electric two-wheel vehicle that you ride standing up and control by shifting your center of gravity merely Toyota's improved version of the Segway, or is it a new form of mobility with a completely different vision? We report on the Winglet development team.
