The Cymbidium Orchid Society of Victoria was formed back in 1991, by a group of Cymbidium enthusiasts, to promote the understanding of the development, propagation, and cultivation of the cymbidium orchid. Our aims were to conduct shows, exhibitions or displays to promote cymbidiums and to affiliate with other groups to further these aims. We wanted to provide a place for our members to meet and share information in a friendly, relaxed and sociable atmosphere. We wanted members to be able to purchaseup-to-date and desirable plants at a reasonable cost. For members to enjoy the benefits of access to all manners of cultural experiences and information, with the emphasis being to learn more about our favourite plant. To put it in simple terms to givecymbidiums a better go in the orchid World.
