摘要

This past November's LA Auto Show lacked much of its usual shine, and with good reason. Casting a shadow over the event were the domestic auto industry's congressional bailout proceedings, which coincided with the opening of media days and left General Motors and Chrysler cancelling their press conferences. As Rick Wagoner, Alan Mullaly, and Bob Nardelli pleaded for USD25 billion of taxpayer-subsidized aid, the concern over the industry's future was palpable in press conferences and on the show floor.
