As a part of Golden Jubilee Celebration, the Rourkela Local Centre of the Institution in association with the Department of Electrical Engineering, NIT, Rourkela, organized an All India Seminar on 'Recent Advances in Power, Energy and Control' under the aegis of Electrical Engineering Division Board, IEI, during November 23-24, 2013 at Rourkela. Mr Umakanta Mishra, Chairman of the Centre, in his welcome address, discussed national scenario of power sector and said that India has tremendous potential to generate electrical energy.
