摘要

Traditionally goats are provided with concentrate feed in the form of mash. Mash is coarse flour in which all the ingredients are crushed and mixed. Mash feed is widely used because of its economics, flexibility and simplicity (Tang et al., 2006). Pelleting of animal feed is important for improving feeding efficiency (Jaishankar et al., 2002), convenience in handling (Mina-Boac et al., 2007) and increasing the bulk density of diet (Suakam et al., 2006). Crumbling and pelleting of feed also influencefeed conversion efficiency (Hossain and Beg, 2006; Sookmanee et al., 2006). Animal's liking for form of feed, which in turn affects digestibility and nutrient utilisation, influences concentrate feed consumption. The present study was planned with an objective to formulate feeding strategies using different forms of feed for efficient broiler goat production under stall-fed conditions.
