摘要

This study was conducted to determine the reproductive status of Sirohi goats under field conditions. Data on the reproductive traits of the Sirohi goats recorded between 2002 and 2008 were analysed. Results revealed that abortions and stillbirths were highest (11.70%) during 2005 and lowest (4.35%) during 2008. Twining and triplet percentages ranged between 11.76 and 27.15 and from 0 to 1.10, respectively. It was observed that the overall least squares means for age at first service, age at first kidding, body weight at first service and body weight at first kidding were 513.70+or-9.0l days, 662.92+or-9.23 days, 26.25+or-0.12 kg and 28.63+or-0.12 kg, respectively.
