摘要

This paper examines value addition to Deccani wool in Karnataka, India, based on data from 75 respondents in the sheep rearing community. Asanas/mats, kambal/blankets, musical drums, wool bags, mobile purses, sling purses, felt caps, and hand bags are the products prepared by the respondents. The major problems felt by them were lack of financial assistance in making products, lack of demand, transportation, marketing and the high commission of middlemen in selling their products.
