The prevalence of various udder and teat affections in non-descript goats revealed that the frequency of symmetrical udder with two teats was 94.11% and the asymmetry in udder was recorded in 5.89% of the screened animals. Various pathological conditions of udder and teats were observed in 9.15% cases. The prevalence of udder abnormalities comprising of udder fibrosis, mastitis and udder abscess were 0.98, 0.98 and 0.65%, respectively. Prevalence of various teat abnormalities included teat laceration (3.26%), teat fistula (0.65%), teat obstruction (0.33%) and supernumerary teats (2.28%). The results also revealed that the pathological conditions of udder and teats were more common in lactating does in advanced age with pendulous udder, increased parity and long teats. However there is a need for periodic investigation so as to minimize it.
