The science and the art of forestry has been inseparably associated with the mankind from time immemorial. Over the years many riddles have come up and reasonably resolved with research and perseverance and are preserved in the annals of the history of our institutional achievements. The present case study is an illustration of technical adaptation and instant application of forestry research in the field. Modern means of mass communications/whatsapp/e-mail were used to expedite communication, consultation, getting the photograph, exchange of ideas, literature search etc. in finding a swift solution to a catastrophic pest attack.
