FEW CARS GET thrown into action as quickly as our new Hyundai Santa Fe. The big Hyundai was facelifted last autumn, when it also received a new 2.2-litre diesel engine. And because it's priced from under ￡22,000 it looked conspicuously good value, so we thought we'd run one to see if there's a catch. Ours arrived just before Easter and was given its first job very swiftly thereafter. I've got a bit of a soft spot for old spudders, and had agreed to sell mine - a Triumph TR2 special -to a nice bloke in Germany. So nice, in fact, that I said I'd trailer it over to him, knowing Autocar was about to take delivery of the perfect tool.
