摘要

Cultivation of tomato in north India is affected due to extreme temperatures, which exist during the months of December to February (low temperature) and May to June (high temperature). Its cultivation as early season crop in northern India can be achieved under polyhouse during November to May. The cultural practices required for growing tomato crop in protected environments are generally different from open field conditions. Among the cultural practices, the application of optimum level of fertilizers is one of the pre-requisites for exploiting genetic potential of this crop under protected environment.
