Results obtained during a survey on the quality of ex‐farm milk in Wales are described showing an increase in the total colony counts, thermoduric counts and coliform content of milk, and this increase appears to indicate a continuing trend. The results for bulk milk supplies are of particular interest, not only for the trend already mentioned and for the results themselves, but also the patterns in respect of seasonality, size of consignment and the relationship between the results of different tests.
