摘要

The synthesis and characterization of a new unsymmetrical N_4O_3-donor ligand (H_2L~1=2-[(2-pyridylmethyl)(carboxyamido-methyl)aminomethyl]-6-[(2-hydroxybenzyl)(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl]-4-methyl phenol) and its dinuclear [(L~1)Fe~(III)(mu-OAc)_2-Zn~(II)]~+ complex are presented.Importantly,reported for the first time here is the X-ray structure and magnetic and Mossbauer properties of an unprecedented tetranuclear [Fe_2~(III)Zn_2~(II)] complex containing the {Fe~(III)(mu-OH)_2Fe~(III)} structural motif,which can be easily obtained through the reaction of stoichiometric amounts of H_2L~1 and the perchlorate salts of [Fe(OH_2)_6]~(3+) and [Zn(OH_2)_6]~(2+) under mild basic conditions.
