A novel samarium hydroxyl sulfate,[Sm(en)(n_3-OH)((i3-SO_4)]00,was synthesized by a solvothermal method and the structure of the coordination polymer takes a diamond-like network assembled by tetranuclear cubane-like [Sm_4(en)_4(u_3-OH)_4]~(8+) clusters and r|3-SO_4 ion bridges.This structure is unfamiliar in lanthanide network,although some coordination polymers of cubane-like [Ln_4(|i3-OH)_4]~(8+) clusters have been reported.
