Two complexes,[M(bpy-CE)(NO3)2] [M = Pd(II),Pt(II);bpy-CE = 2,2'-bipyridine-3,3'-16-crown-4],were synthesized and characterized by the X-ray diffraction study,and their isomorphous crystal structures confirm the formation of interesting porous frameworks with channel diameters of ca. 6.0 A possibly through anion...pi interactions.
