Although Washington has been quiet over the past couple weeks, this holiday season saw a number of developments relevant to ongoing U.S. trade negotiations such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the Trans-Atlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), as well as the Obama administration's export control reform initiative. Among the developments were a flurry of letters sent to the administration by members of Congress and other government officials in support of its efforts toward promoting trade liberalization.
