TA Instruments, the thermal analysis instrumentation division of Waters Corp (Milford, MA), has bought the net assets of VTI Corp (Hialeah, FL), a manufacturer of sorption and thermogravimetry analysis (TGA) instrumentation, for an undisclosed sum. The acquired company will "immediately merge" into TA Instruments, with VTI's founder, Dr Augie Venero, joining the new parent.
