Following publication of its second quarter report, shares of Pall Corp (East Hills, NY) fell by 9% as the company posted guidance for full year earnings that fell short of Wall Street expectations. Pall expects fiscal 2008 earnings of 1.82-1.92 per share, significantly below the average 2.14 analysts were expecting. In the second quarter of fiscal 2008 ended the 31st of January, Pall increased sales by 15% from the prior year period to 625.7 million, although net earnings were up only 8% at 48.0 million, affected by costs related to the company's restructuring initiatives.
