Veeco Instruments Inc (Woodbury,NY) lowered full-year guidance after sales continued to sink in the third quarter of calendar 2007.After a good start to the year,weak demand from the semiconductor market drove sales down 13% year-on-year to 97.7 million.Net losses were 5.7 million compared to an income of 4.5 million in the prior year period.
