Pure carbondisulfide was treated with ultrasound of a frequency of 20 kHz. Consequently small amounts of C3S2, S-6, S-7, and S-8 were obtained, which could be seperated gas-chromatographically and detected by mass spectroscopy. The yields were approximately proportional to the period of influence. References: 5
