Market conditions, new emissions legislation and the relative prices of liquid and gaseous fuels have combined to multiply the number of propulsion and ship operating options open to owners purchasing large two and four-stroke engines. Power system engineering consultants FEV have analysed the range of choices and propose solutions according to ships and their applications.
