摘要

The fast and efficient wavelet transform finds wide application in Digital Signal Processing especially in image processing. The designing methodology of an efficient VLSI structure for wavelets falls under two categories-dependent graphs and common sub-expression elimination. Though the graph algorithms outperform CSE algorithms in terms of speed, they have longer critical path and larger area. So for an efficient VLSI structure, we go for CSE algorithm. In this paper we use iterative matching algorithm for FIR filters in wavelet architecture that eliminates redundancy in multiplication by matching the filter coefficients repeatedly.
