A real-time working condition monitoring and fault diagnosis system for the steelcord belt conveyor is developed and introduced in this paper. This system can accomplish the distributed on-line monitoring of belt splice breakage, belt longitudinal rip, fire, belt tension super-threshold, belt slip and other frenquently occured faults. And it is characterized by its strong versatility, easy installation, lower cost and high environmental suitability.
