摘要

Six new species of the family Haliplectidae collected from mangrove areas of Sandspit backwaters of Karachi, Pakistan are described and illustrated. The new species are: H. pakistanensis; H. monodelphis; H. minor; H. robustus; H. paradorsalis and H. gracilis. Diagnostic characters and relationships of new species have been given. H. pakistanensis sp. n. has a relatively longer body, smooth valve plates in the basal bulb, male having three contiguous supplements, two protuberant caudal papillae in midventral region and one papilla on tail tip. H. monodelphis sp. n. differs from other species in the genus by having monodelphic gonad in female, a relatively short body and valve plates in basal bulb not striated. Vulva at 53-57% of body length, a conoid 34-40 um long tail and conoid not offset spinneret. H. minor sp. n. has 0.46-0.50 mm long body, vulva at 45-49.5 percent of body length, oesophagus and tail measuring 60-73 um and 40-47 um long, respectively, and valve plates of basal bulb clearly striated. H. robustus sp. n is characterized by its 0.8-1.11 mm long body, maximum body width 44-54 um, stoma 46-53 um long, oesophagus 90-110 um and tail 49-55 um long. H. paradorsalis sp. n. is recognized by its 0.56-0.78 mm long body, 30-36 um long stoma,vulva at 42.0-45.3 percent of body, and tail 50-64 um or 3-4 anal body widths long. H. gracilis sp. n. is recognized by its 0.50-0.56 mm long body, coarse and distinct body annules, 70-78 um long oesophagus, vulva at 50.1-53.3 percent of body length and33-35 um long tail.
