摘要

Gas diffusion technology, originally developed for processing cleaner steel, has made a huge impact in the tonnage steel industries over the last 25 years. Today, the technology, adapted for induction furnace products, is proving effective in improving the quality and efficiency of melting for the investment as well as other casting processes. Capital Refractories Limited introduced the technology into induction furnaces with trials just over two years ago. More than 1,000 units have been supplied and used. From these, a mass of information has been accumulated which demonstrates the benefits which can be attained by the application of this technology.
