Integrated major Chevron has formally sanctioned its $4 billion Big Foot deepwa- ter development, marking the company's third final investment decision on a US Gulf of Mexico project this year. Chevron said Thursday it has given the green light to Big Foot, a 2006 dis- covery located 225 miles south of New Orleans in Walker Ridge Block 29 (IOD Jan.5'06,p4).
