TransCanada President and Chief Execu- tive Hal Kvisle is retiring on June 30. Russ Girling, currently chief operating officer, will succeed him... Kvisle joined TransCanada in 1999 as ex- ecutive vice president and assumed the chief executive’s position role in 2001. During those years, he managed the divestment of more than $3 billion of non-core assets in- cluding the company’s natural gas trading business ahead of the industry meltdown that followed Enron’s spectacular collapse in late 2001.
