摘要

LEDs are adding a new and exciting set of tools to the lighting designer's palette, enabling imaginative lighting products and effects that once were technically impossible. LED-based luminaries and solid-state lighting (SSL) systems are now illuminating architectural and commercial projects around the globe - from the Casino Breda in the Netherlands where LEDs provide warm shadow-free white light over gaming tables, to Munich's Hotel Anna, where eating and bar areas come alive with dynamically changing colour delivered by LED-based luminaries. For the first time ever, LED technology has advanced to the point that high-quality indoor and outdoor illumination is now possible in both colour and white. Over the last few years we have seen the advent of seven colours and a white 5500K/75CRI LED in high-power packaging, with advances in silicon and plastic lenses that realise the promise of long lifetime, high lumen maintenance LEDs. Within the last year, the market has also seen the emergence of a high-quality 'warm white' LED with 90 CRI at 3200K.
