摘要

A model of simple formulation was proposed that contained parameters which were dependent only on geographical location and that provides a good estimate of maximum mean intensities of rainfall. The model requires parameters to be calculated by historical series of ten to twenty years since unacceptable errors would occur using series of data less than ten years. The calculation simplicity of the local parameters is a further advantage of this model; they are obtained from historical series using asimple procedure. The complexity of this model is intermediate between those of already existing models, that are either too simple (some of them neglect geographical position and historical series of rainfall data), or too complex (many local parameters and historical series of data up to one hundred years).
