The UK offshore sector is still growing despite the global economic crunch,said Chris Braithwaite,chief operating officer of Wellstream and chair of Subsea UK,with capitol expenditure(capex)set to rise in the next few years in many sectors.Deepwater capex is set to rise by 30% between 2006 and 2010,and floating production capex set to grow by 66% in that time period,said Braithwaite at the Subsea Northeast conference in Newcastle,England.
