It was the fourth time that Pira hosted their International Sizing Conference,this very time at Graz,the lovely capital of Styria(Austria),summoning more than 140 delegates from more than twenty countries.The Speaker outlined-very basically-the history and original meaning of"sizing",physical parameters like wetting be-haviour,modes of water penetration into paper,and the classes and ways of action of sizing chemicals,such as rosin derivatives,ASA,and AKD.
