The University of Nevada-Reno (UNR) F.re Science Academy hosted the first Earrick Gold Corp. Global Rescue Summit, which drew emergency response representatives from 25 of Barrick's 27 operating mine sites world-wide for two days of training exercises and rescue drills designed specifically for the mine industry. The training included responding to hazardous materials spills and exposure, industrial fire fighting drills, airport rescue and fire fighting classroom and live-fire training. and a firefighter challenge team-builing exercise.
