At MINExpo International, Leica Geosystems and its Tritronics brand mining product range showcased a full range of advanced integrated solutions for the mining industry. Tritronics, based in Brisbane, Australia, was acquired by Leica Geosystems last year. Tritronics was established in 1975, and is a world leader in the design, development and installation of mine machine monitoring and information systems. The Tritronics suite of solutions combines powerful reporting and analysis software along with High Precision GPS guidance accuracy with high speed radio telemetry to deliver accurate production monitoring and reporting for the full suite of mining production equipment such as draglines, haul trucks, loading units, shovels, dozers and blast hole drills. The Tritronics systems are being fully integrated with Leica's range of GPS machine automation systems, deformation monitoring systems, GPS reference stations and networks and high-precision GPS and total station instruments to provide a powerful state-of-the-art family of solutions for the global mining industry.
